“CAÑADON LEON” WIND FARM (YPF LUZ) – UPGRADE OF 500/132 KV SANTA CRUZ NORTE SUBSTATION

Within Cañadon León wind farm project, developed by YPF Luz, it was carried out the upgrade of the 132/500 kV Santa Cruz Norte substation, located near the city called Pico Truncado, province of Santa Cruz, Argentina.
The EPC contract of this project was awarded to GE Grid, which subcontracted to Ingener the civil detailed engineering, complete civil works and the electro-mechanical assembly for the substation upgrade, including the construction of 132 kV bays as well as 500 kV bays, in addition to the erection of a new 132/500 kV autotransformers bank.
