GERDAU – WATER-TREATMENT PLANT, ROUGHING ROLLING MILL

In 2014, GERDAU, a company in the Uruguayan steel sector, specializing in the production of steel, contracted Ingener for the mechanical assembly (approx. 250 Ton) of the equipments of the water-treatment plant and roughing rolling mill and the related electrical installations.
The work consisted of the assembly of metal structures, walkways, stairs, railings, pipe supports, fittings and accessories, including hydraulic tests, visual inspections and industrial radiography.
“Operational cleaning” of pipes (compressed air, hydraulics, lubrication and greasing). Switchboard supply. Construction and assembly of pipes for the hydraulic lubrication and greasing system of the rolling mill.

It is worth noticing the use of 100 tons 1-1/2” Schedule 80 to 20” Schedule 40 carbon steel pipes.
